www.freejapaneselessons.com

This is the first website for my series. The reason I started out with this is because it was the highest link in my Google search "Learn Japanese" (Google Search). The page ranked the highest and so this become my first resource. The website is structured into lessons, which makes lessons seemingly more easy to learn, but unfortunately this was not my case. Although the website has some nice resource, I didn't make much progress in my attempt to learn Japanese.

Most website require you to register so this will be excused, they also have a partner program, not exactly my thing but a lot of people find this very useful. You pick up a language real fast if you are able to speak to a native friend.

They also have there own blogger site at : http://learnjapaneselessons.blogspot.com/

New Series : The sites I started out with.

I have decided to start a new series for my blog, in order to build momentum. The series will be a review of the websites I originally  started out with to learn Japanese

Google Toolbar

The google toolbar for firefox has translating capabilities. Google Toolbar
Surfing Japanese websites really helps !

Electronic dictionary

A must for Japanese learners is a electronics dictionary. I suggest buying a dictionary which does not have too many features as some may confuse you.
The following I recommend
English - Japanese - Japanese & English Talking Electronic Dictionary EJ400T
Sharp Electronics PW-E550 Electronic Dictionary
Ectaco Partner EJ400T Talking Electronic Dictionary English-Japanese

But if top range is your thing then ECTACO Partner EJ900 English-Japanese Talking Electronic Dictionary and Audio PhraseBook is a must

Grammer Guide

So far the best grammer guide I have come across is Tae Kim's Grammer guide
http://www.guidetojapanese.org/learn/grammar

It immediatly exposes you to kanji and the like and teaches well. But I am having difficulty remembering all the things.

DS Game

I am currently using a Nintendo DS to aid me in my studies. The game is called My Japanese Coach and helps you learn with lessons and making sure you remember enough with the use of various mini games. The is so far the best game I have come across for learning Japanese with the nintendo DS

nihongo gakushū

I've decided to create a blog for learning Japanese. I will post some of my progress here and all the resources I am using.
